David K. Mills is an Associate Attorney at Fazzano & Tomasiewicz. David is a native of Fairfield County, Connecticut, graduating from Wilton High School in 2002. Shortly after the September 11th terrorist attacks in 2001, David enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, attending Marine Basic Training aboard Marine Corps Recruit Depot (MCRD) Parris Island, South Carolina, with the 3rd Recruit Training Battalion.
After Basic Training, he attended the Marine Corps School of Infantry (SOI) East, at Camp Geiger in Jacksonville, North Carolina, graduating in February of 2003 as an Infantry Rifleman (MOS 0311). After graduation David was assigned to a specialized amphibious boat company “Small Craft Company” (SCCO) with Headquarters Battalion; 2nd Marine Division at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, as a Riverine Assault Craft (RAC) crewmember, machine-gunner and light infantryman.
In March of 2003, David was deployed in support of Operation Southern Watch and Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF), conducting maritime security operations and vessel escort in and around the Persian Gulf region.
In 2004, 2005, and 2006 he was further deployed to the Iraq theater, taking part in a variety of infantry missions in support of ground combat operations in and around the Al Anbar Province.
After his honorable discharge from the Marine Corps in April of 2007, David began attending college, obtaining his Bachelor of Arts in Criminology from Central Connecticut State University (CCSU) in 2011.
After graduation from CCSU, David was again deployed, this time in support of Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) to Helmand Province, Afghanistan, as a Platoon Sergeant for 3rd Platoon; Company “C”; 1st Battalion, 25th Marine Regiment, 4th Marine Division.
Upon his return to the United States and subsequent demobilization, David went to work for private industry in the defense manufacturing sector, obtaining employment with Colt Defense and Colt’s Manufacturing Company as a production floor supervisor for the M4/M16 Rifle lines as well as the M240 Medium Machine-Gun line. Later David took a position in marketing for Colt’s International and U.S. Government Sales team.
In 2015 David attended and graduated from the Staff Noncommissioned Officer Academy (SNCOA) aboard Marine Corps Base Quantico Virginia.
David left Colt in 2016, to take a position in federal service with the Department of War, Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) overseeing compliance matters related to manufacturing and production of defense articles and equipment for the United States and allied mission partners.
In 2019, after obtaining the rank of Gunnery Sergeant, David left the Marine Corps to pursue study of the law at Western New England University School of Law, graduating in 2023.
